Interesting Research on Shows – What You Didn’t Know

Miguel Could Actually Be More Likable than Kevin.

The lovers of “This Is Us” can tell you that Miguel actually starting to grow up is a statement thy never thought they would use. This is however the case as in (Season 2, Episode 11) where the Pearson clan is sitting in a circle, looking all uncomfortable as an addiction specialist guides kelvin towards opening up a group dialogue. This is however an unusual meeting for them as they would be normally having this get together at Randal’s or Kate and Toby’s nice places.

This therapy came after a drunk Kelvin, who is addicted to both painkillers and fame, decided to drive full speed with Tess, Beth and Randal’s young daughter, at the back seat. It was possible for the writers to make that an accident with Tess gone but they somehow knew that we would not take it. Tess’s parents had just been through a heartbreak of having to re-unite their foster daughter to her biological mom and that meant that Tess is all they had.

This is probably why a cop pulled him up and when we see him again, he had been at the rehab for three months trying to fix the damage he had done to himself and the people that loved him.

This is what leads us to this Pearson’s family thing that Miguel, Beth and Toby are not invited. They therefore spend the afternoon drinking in bar which Toby thinks is ironic considering the circumstances. Kevin gets all the deep motions that he had and we can clearly see that he feels ousted by the family. This led to him looking for the admiration and the attention on the media that he never got from his family that was on everyone’s case except his leaving him feeling like a third wheel.

Basically, the basic law of attraction is what is at play here as Kevin is looking for what he never got to fill in the void but it never does. Miguel, the new one to the group is married to his best friend’s wife although he is all sweet to the Pearson’s family. The Perfect Jack Pearson’s wife who nobody can compare to. Just like Kevin, Miguel knows his place which he has made peace with and knows that to change it would means changing everything including the very thing that brings the Pearson together. The difference is that, Kelvin will continue to unravel it until he makes amends and heal while Miguel on the other hand might just be the person to sew everything back together.
